Americans with Disabilities Act: Assistance at Self-Serve Gas Stations: The U.S. Department of Justice provides a brief overview of the ADA requirements for self-serve gas stations.

Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED): Information about this membership organization for professionals working in the field of driver education / driver training and transportation equipment modifications for persons with disabilities.

Automotive Safety Issues for Persons with Disabilities: This section of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) web site features links to relevant federal documents and publications. Be sure to check out NHTSA's excellent brochure for consumers on Adapting Motor Vehicles for People With Disabilities.

National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA): NMEDA is a membership association for independent dealers of adaptive equipment and vehicle modifications for people with disabilities. The web site includes information for members, including member lists which may be useful to consumers.

NOAH's Low Vision Driving: Sponsored by the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation (NOAH), this is an active online message board devoted to low vision and driving.
