provide personal business and social support assistance to clients who have
difficulty in managing their personal monetary affairs. The AADMM is a membership
organization for DMMs; its web site includes a list of active members.

includes numerous resources that can provide financial information or assistance.

help that youre entitled to? Many Americans are missing out on valuable
federal benefits programs, such as such as Social Security, Medicaid, Food
Stamps, and Weatherization, as well as state-administered programs such as
pharmacy assistance, vocational rehabilitation, and in-home services. Though
geared to seniors, this website can benefit any age adults with disabilities.
A service of the National Council on Aging, it features an excellent, easy-to-use
screening tool that can help visitors determine whether they are eligible
for nearly 1,000 state and federal programs and provide instructions on how
to apply for them.
This national non-profit
organization serves as a "liaison between the patient and their insurer,
employer and/or creditors to resolve insurance, job discrimination and/or
debt crisis matters relative to their diagnosis through case managers, doctors
and attorneys." The nicely designed web site contains information and
links relating to current issues, cancer news and Info, patient resources,
children's resources, debt crisis intervention, job discrimination assistance,

A Project of the President's
Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities located at the Job Accommodation
Network, this web site contains resources related to self-employment and small
business options for people with disabilities.
OFA oversees the "Temporary
Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)" program. TANF funding, which is
distributed through the states, replaced the Aid to Families with Dependent
Children (AFDC) and the Job Opportunities and Basic Skills Training (JOBS)
programs in 1997. This web site provides extensive information about TANF,
including links to State Welfare and Children and Families home pages.
