Deborah
Gill's animated children will delight any website (as long as
they're not for use in commercial websites, clip art collections,
and other specified purposes). There are about a dozen colorful
boys and girls using crutches, wheelchairs and walkers.
This page
from the Center for Disease Control includes extensive collection
of still images, image sets, and multimedia files related to
public health, and a special collection of clip art that was
developed for the CDC publication "Take Charge of Your Diabetes."
Geared for
libraries but useful for others, these fourteen drawings of people
with disabilities reading or using the library can be downloaded
and used at no charge by nonprofit organizations.
Produced
by the Graphic Artists Guild Foundation, this is a classy collection
of 12 symbols that can be downloaded as a ZIP file in EPS format
and used to promote and publicize accessibility of places, programs
and other activities for people with various disabilities.
P.J. Laureau
has the most extensive collection of disability graphics on the
web, including separate pages for wheeling, fingerspelling, kids,
vision, etc. However, the quality varies, and not all of the
pix are available for use. Some are advertising or promotional
icons.
