clips of learning disabilities experts, bulletin boards, "Ask
the Expert," a comprehensive listing of national and state
organizations and agencies, an LD Calendar, personal essays,
a newsletter, and more.
Formerly
known as Poor Richard's Publishing, this web site offers a good
collection of articles and essays, organizations, Internet resources,
electronic texts, and other resources about learning disabilities.
The web
site of this national organization includes fact sheets on such
diverse topics as assistive technology, central auditory processing
problems in children, dyslexia, GED tests, home schooling; alerts
and bulletins; events; state chapters, resources, and more.
The Muskingum
College Center for Advancement of Learning offers a wealth of
information and strategies for coping with specific learning
difficulties, e.g. attention and listening, coding and retrieval,
notetaking, organization, etc.
Focusing
on adult literacy and learning disabilities, the Center's web
site includes online editions of its excellent publications,
archives of its forum, and other resources.
Devoted
to increasing awareness about nonverbal learning disorders (NLD)
among parents and professionals (and adults with NLD too), this
web site includes articles, bulletin boards, a chat room, calendar,
research, resources, and more.
