- Lupus
is a rheumatic or autoimmune disease that involves chronic inflammation
of the joints, muscles, or other parts of the body. The majority
of people with lupus have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE),
which affects multiple organs in their body.

is, what causes it, types and variations, diagnosis, living with
lupus, when to call the doctor, and the future. KidsHealth also
offers a lupus site specifically for
teens.

A Patient Care Guide for Nurses and Other Health Professionals
- This extensive
online book from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal
and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) of the National Institutes of Health
(NIH) covers symptoms and diagnosis, lab tests for diagnosis
and evaluation, lupus medications, psychosocial aspects, advances
in lupus research, lupus information resources, and nursing procedures
for major
lupus complications. The section on patient
information includes hand-out sheets on a wide variety of
topics.

that range from pediatric lupus to caregivers. Its lupus links
