American Chronic Pain Association
(ACPA)
- A non-profit
organization with more than 800 chapters throughout the world,
the ACPA supports those suffering with chronic pain through education
and self-help group activities. The web site contains general
information about pain management as well as information about
the organization and its services

American Pain Society (APS)
- The home
page of a multidisciplinary educational and scientific organization
dedicated to serving people in pain. Its web site includes a
database of its members' specialized pain treatment centers and
an extensive resource list as well as information about the organization
and its services.

Painlink
- PainLink
is "a virtual community of health professionals working
in institutions that are committed to alleviating pain."
In addition to guidelines and other information for professionals,
the site includes a variety of resources for the public, such
as pain facts (statistical data), related web sites, and lists
of articles, videos, organizations and conferences.

Pain Education for Patients, Families & Nurses
- Compiled

at the University of Iowa College of Nursing, this web site provides
information and guidance about about and for children with pain,
including assessment, myths, medication, stories, etc. The related
adult
site is chock full of well organized information on subjects
ranging from ancient Egyptians to peer pressure. Don't let the
simplicity of this site fool you - it's well worth a visit.
