A Is For "ALL ABOARD!"
by Paula Kluth & Victoria Kluth. Illustrated by Brad Littlejohn.
Paul H. Brookes Publishing Co., 2010. Hardcover, 26 pages, $16.95

In recent years, the trend of tapping into the interests and fascinations of children with autism to facilitate learning and literacy has gained popularity. Now, one of the leaders in this movement, Paula Kluth, along with Victoria Kluth, has written the first alphabet book for such an audience. In A Is For "ALL ABOARD!", the authors present facts about trains in a book aimed at children of all age levels. The text is complex enough to engage, boxed on the page for clarity, and accompanied by appropriately appealing illustrations. With luck, this book will be the first in a well-conceived series.
