A free service designed to help you locate dialysis units near where you live, or when travelling, near where you are going. Enter an address and a map pops up with nearby dialysis units. The concept is great, but the implementation is not comprehensive: we struck out totally with Boston, Cleveland, New York, and Rome. Worth a shot, especially if the database improves.
Emerging Horizons: The Accessible Travel Newsletter
The publishers of the newsletter by the same name offer a nicely organized set of links about destinations, transportation, lodging, recreation, and more.

MossRehab ResourceNet: Accessible Travel
An excellent resource for travel tips and information about travel agencies, state Tourism Offices, transportation, automobile and van vental agencies, driving with a disability, travel alerts, travel resources and publications, mailing lists, and related topics.
SATH (Society for Advancement of Travel for the Handicapped)
SATH is a nonprofit organization that promotes “awareness, respect and accessibility for disabled and mature travelers and EMPLOYMENT for the disabled in the tourism industry.” Its web site includes information about the organization and sample articles from its magazine. Travel information and resource sections were under construction when we last checked on 2/6/2000.
